Privacy Policy

This policy sets out how I, Sarah Turner of Sarah Turner Therapies use and protect the information that you provide when you use my services and website. It is my intention to ensure that any data you provide is managed respectfully, kept secure and only used for the purposes for which it has been provided, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations, effective from 25th May 2018 (GDPR).

This policy will be updated from time to time in line with prevailing legislation and any changes or updates to the GDPR.

When you contact me by phone (07748 403575) or email (hello@sarahturnertherapies.co.uk) I will collect your information as follows:

  • Full Name
  • Email Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Any other information you choose to supply regarding the purpose of your enquiry.

How your information is used

I use your contact information in order to communicate with you and discuss your requirements.

If you choose to go ahead with an appointment or sign up to one of my courses/classes I will either:

  • ask you to complete a booking/consent form at time of booking
  • ask for further information related to, and as part of, your Initial Consultation (Hypnotherapy/Reiki)
  • ask you to disclose any medical or physical impediments to lying down for a set period of time (Relaxation Sessions/Guided Meditation classes)

The additional information collected may include details such as your address, date of birth, your GP details or other information relevant to the purpose of our sessions together. Any and all information collected by me is protected under this Privacy Policy, which has been written and shared with you to ensure clarity over how I will use and protect the information you provide in the course of your sessions together.

You may also be asked to tick relevant boxes to evidence you are happy to receive promotional/further information about my services, or if you are willing to provide feedback about your experience of working with me, or to agree to be contacted to be offered follow up sessions where applicable. You have complete freedom to choose any/all/none of the options and, where you do not tick a relevant box, I will not contact you.

In the course of your sessions together, I will make a note of information you provide in order so that I can plan future sessions, enhance my support for you, produce bespoke scripts as appropriate, or send you information/resources to support you.

General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), effective from 25th May 2018

Under the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), effective from 25th May 2018, you have the following rights:

  • The right to be informed.
  • The right of access. If you wish to see your data/information, then please make a request in writing to me, the easiest way to do this is to email me at hello@sarahturnertherapies.co.uk, and I will provide the relevant information to you within 30 days of your request.
  • The right to rectification. This is your right to request changes to any information I hold that is factually inaccurate. If you believe any of the information I have about you is incorrect, then please let me know as soon as possible by emailing me and I will make the appropriate changes.
  • The right to erasure or restrict processing. If you do not request deletion of your data sooner, my professional insurance policy (with Balens Insurance) stipulates that I am required to hold your data for a period of 7 years. After 7 years, all information related to your work together will be securely destroyed. With regard to your right to restrict processing, I will only use the information you provide for the purposes that I have stated: However please note, most standards of confidentiality applied in professional contexts are based upon the Common Law concept of confidentiality where the duty to keep confidence is measured against the concept of “greater good”. If in a therapist's opinion, there is good cause to believe that not to disclose information would cause danger or serious harm to self, the therapist or others, then a GP or other appropriate agencies may be contacted. Only information required to ensure safety of relevant parties would be disclosed and information may have to be disclosed without consent for the prevention, detection or prosecution of a crime.
  • The right not to be subject to automated decision-making. I do not use any automated tools that could affect you and will not use your information for profiling purposes.

In addition to changes introduced to UK GDPR (2026) you have a right to raise concern with the data controller if you think that your personal information has been used in a way that doesn’t comply with the law. If you wish to raise an issue or complaint about how I have handled your data at any time, you may do so by calling me on the phone number above or emailing me with details of your concerns. I will investigate and respond to you as promptly as possible, within 30 days of receiving your email, in line with the DUAA (2025) updated guidance regarding data protection. Online Sessions

Where sessions are conducted online (Zoom) the sessions are not recorded, nor are any AI note-taking facilities enabled. Zoom as a service is securely encrypted.

Recorded sessions

When a Past Life or Pre Life Regression is recorded there is nothing to identify you with - personal details such as full name, age, contact details etc. The recording is stored by me and password protected, when I transfer the recording to you it is via WeTransfer, who has their own data protection policy (see below)

Links to Other Websites

Sarah Turner Therapies website may contain links to other websites or webpages of interest, or I may, at your request, send a link to anything that helps support our work together. However, once you use these links please be aware that you have left my website and I do not have any control over the other websites. I cannot therefore be held responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide when visiting such sites and these external sites are not governed by this privacy policy.

You acknowledge that the privacy of your communications and personal information can never be completely guaranteed when it is being transmitted over the internet. You acknowledge and agree that you share information via the internet at your own risk. You agree to take responsibility for your own role in safeguarding your data privacy in the email address you choose to use and whether or not you choose to password protect information you send to me.
